baby sleep? everyone told me to make sure i made as much noise as i needed to throughout the day when the baby was sleeping, to assure that didnt need to tip toe around .. now that he can sleep through anything, he cant fall asleep without noise? has anyone else had this problem? he wont fall asleep unless i put music on next to him loud... or running water really loud.. anything to make noise really, does this eventually stop?

Baby Sleep? My two month old goes to sleep between 8 and 9, he sleeps without making a sound untill 2, then wakes up for a feeding, then when we put him back to sleep he grunts and squirms the rest of the night in his sleep. Has anyone else's baby done that? when does it stop?

Baby sleep? My 2 week old baby settles well at night at about 10 and sleeps for 3 and a half hours but then wakes 2 hours later for another feed and has trouble going back to sleep, then when I finally get him back to sleep he wakes again 2 hours later at around 5-6 am fully awake snd definitely not wanting to sleep anymore.He is then awake for about 4 hours happy and alert. I've noticed that sometimes at night she won't want to go to bed if she has slept more than usual during the day. What are the benefits to having a baby sleep in your bed? I'm 33 weeks pregnant and am not planning on having my baby sleep in with us as I'm afraid I might squash the baby, the baby might fall out of the bed or the baby might get into bad habits and not want to sleep in a bed of it's own. What do you think about allowing your baby to sleep in a playpen instead of a crib? I recently began putting my 7 month old daughter in her playpen in her room for naps and nighttime sleep, just to try to train her to sleep in it. This is because she refused to sleep in it before and wouldn't nap at my mom's when being babysat or when my husband and I would take her places. After the first day she caught on quick and has been sleeping in it for a whole week. She actually seems to sleep better in it than in her crib! With her crib she had been trying to yank the bumper off, and if I take the bumper off she smacks her head on the rails and gets her legs and arms stuck in the rails. Plus, she loses her pacificer through the rails and screams bloody murder until I come back in the room and give it to her. Having her in the playpen has eliminated these problems of the crib. Has anyone else had their baby sleep in a playpen? I worry that it may not be very comfy for her, but she seems to be sleeping great in it this past week. What do you think?

Why wont my baby sleep during the day? I have a 4 months old and he sleeps 9-10 hours every night, which is fantastic, but he wont take more then a 30 minute nap from 2pm-8pm. I tried to come up with a general schedule that seemed to work on weekends and whenever I've been home for long weekends or vacations...naps at 9 or 9:30 a.m. (for an hour) and 1:00 or 1:30 (for an hour and a half or two hours). My mother-in-law doesn't believe in baby routines or schedules and puts her down when she thinks it's time and doesn't allow for wind down time. The nap schedule has been all over the place. She also picks her up at the first sign of movement or wakefulness. I'm not sure if the inconsistency is hurting her naps or if it's a bad schedule or both. I need help figuring out what's appropriate for this age

Does anyone know of a way to help my baby sleep better at night? Is there any kind of liquid drops to give the My baby seems to sleep okay once she gets to sleep, it is just getting there that is the problem. She just cries and cries and fights going to sleep mostly at bedtime. She is only 2 months old but she sleeps pretty good during the day and goes to sleep pretty easy. I should have clarified that he does sleep in a sleep sack over his jammies plus it is warm in his room so there was never any danger of hypothermia:) But now that he's starting to stand up and even take a couple steps, he doesn't like the sleep sack so I thought about giving him a loose blanket. I haven't used one since birth because everything I read says not to EVER put loose blankets in with infants as this highly increases the risk of SIDS . I didn't want to take a chance.
