Natural (Vaginal) Delivery baby health vs Scissorian delivered baby health? Are there any Health implications on scissorian delivered babies? I heard from medical practitioners that Normal Delivery is very good for baby’s future health. Such babies become healthy and have natural instinct to fight with all hazards of life. On the contrary Scissorian delivered baby’s are of weak health and lack the ability and instinct to fight back? I am seriously confused because my baby is Scissorian delivered baby and is of weak health, Can anybody suggest whether there is any medical solution for this?

Can you have a health baby even if you have a cyst on your ovary? I found out that I am 5 weeks pregnant. 2 days ago I had cramping and I got scared, so I went to the emergency room. They did an ultra sound on me and said that everything looks normal, and there is a cyst on my ovary. They say this feeds the baby until the cord forms, but my sister who is a nurse says it's not called a cyst it's something else. SOMEONE help me!! :)

Question about baby's health?? Pregnant at 24 weeks and have a question about baby's health? Hey one of my girl friend wrote to me that her little 7 month old daughter had a stomach virus since Thanksgiving morning. Is this email okay? Here's what I wrote back to her: "Oh, I am sorry to hear about her. What may have caused the virus. Can she take any medicine for it, if so what kind? I need to be aware of this stuff." Does my response to her sound selfish especially my last sentence of needing to know this stuff? I need to know it cause I am pregnant with my child and will soon be looking at medicines and baby health. She has not replied back tome since then, so I hope she is not mad at me. I mean as much as I care for her and her baby, I have a right to know for my child as well? Virusus and ear infections and fevers are so common in little infants that it's fine what I asked her in my reply right ladies? The I need to be aware of this stuff does not sound like she needs to tell me this stuff earlier or something does it? I mean I wrote that line after asking her about medicine for her girl.

Health of Baby in any way a function of the father? It's always been pointed out that the age of motherhood can have drastic effects on the probabity of birth defects, but Is the health of a baby in any way dependant on the age of the father? Isn't the risk of genetic mutation also increased with the age of the father? Please site your source of information if possible. It's just that I've never seen any reports, studies, or warnings as there are for the age of a woman.
Major Baby health probz? Well I am currently 17w&2d pregnant and the thing is, I know that i'm not eating right. Let me explain. Before I fell pregnant I was always eating McDonald's, I did not get sick of it and I did not put on any weight, but now that I am pregnant, McDonald's is all I can seem to eat! I try eating normal home made stuff, but it's like my body rejects it and I always end up vomiting after eating the homemade meals. I know that McDonald's is bad for my baby, I am currently taking Gold mores Breast Feeding and Pregnancy tablets, what can I do? Will eating McDonald's make my baby fat. Cause people are amazed at how my body has not put on any weight from eating it everyday. I just want to know will my baby be okay if i do eat this everyday, i can't stop, i've tried and I go crazy when I stop and if i don't have McDonald's i literally starve myself cos I know my body will reject any other foods i try to eat.. What should I do, any suggestions please.. ? Thank you Also I do eat ceral for breakfast. And try to eat as many apples as I can. The reason also why I eat McDonald's so much is beacsue I am so fussy! I hate being fussy and I do try to eat every day foods, but my stupid body and mind won't let me(I've been fussy my whole life)! Also i do have epilepsy. I went to the doctor about it and he told me that even though it may not be a healthy option, at least my baby is getting something, which is better then nothing." anyway I just wanted to let you know. Thanks!
Does a baby's fathers health insurance cover the pregnant mothers expenses? I am 18 years old, and about 7 weeks pregnant. I do not have health insurance but my boyfriend, the father of the baby, does have health insurance. Is there any way or is it possible that his health insurance covers the baby's expenses (doctors appts., hospital delivery, etc.) or will I just have to file for my own health insurance?
A Question About Baby-Health Regarding Age Of Parents? I know study after study has shown the younger the mom and dad, the better chance of a healthy baby.... I am 29 pressing 30, and my girlfriend is 34 pressing 35....we're falling in love fast, but reasonable enough to know we should take our time, and we're a a few years away from marriage, which means by the time we'd conceive, i'd be 33 or 34, and she'd be 38 or 39.... ...therefore, we're seriously considering getting our eggs/sperm frozen NOW, so if we have a kid 5 years from now, it'll be as if it was a 30 year old man and a 35 year old woman... ...my question though, is how much has the odds of down syndrome, autism, and god knows what else, ALREADY increased compared to say, a 21 year old couple conceiving? At 34/35, has my girlfriend's odds of an unhealthy baby already increased drastically? Or if she freezes her eggs now, is that still young enough where the increase is fairly minor? And can anyone provide some research or sourcing to back up their claims? Thanks...
Still SO concerned RE: baby health..thinking I may miscarry or something...? **No Hx. of miscarriage ** Ok: On August 10th I had an U/S and say baby's HR at 171 bpm/ his sixe was 2cm and I'm 8 weeks pregnant the technician said.. So i guess all these crappy stries on the net have been frightening half to death, (WHICH I NO LONGER READ),, I'm concerned his H.Beat may no be found on his 2nd U/S (crazy worried right??) Anyways, so far I've had no bleeding what so ever and no cramping.. **They say M/C is 12%-19% common, and the further along u are the better. I'm 9 weeks today!! --Am i just too woried n need to chill out??
Should I switch myself and the baby to his health insurance? I am three months pregnant and getting married in May. The baby is due at the end of October. I currently work full time and have my own health insurance, and have registered my upcoming birth with my health insurance as well. If I get married in May, and do not enroll in my husband's health insurance within 30 days, will I still be able to enroll myself and the baby once my maternity leave is over if I don't return to work? Is it better to just enroll myself and the baby right after I get married, instead of waiting until after the birth? Will I be able to enroll even though I was pregnant before I was married? If I do enroll in his insurance, I will be enrolled in a health insurance plan through my company, and through his. Can that be done? It seems like a waste of money. If there are any HR people out there who could help, please respond. I get so confused with all of this stuff!
Is it a good idea to try to have a baby without any health insurance? My husband and I are wanting to have a baby and neither one of us have health insurance. My mother is worried because she is afraid that we will go in debt if we try to have a baby now without any type of insurance. I really think that her worrying has been preventing us from getting pregnant. Is there something that I can tell her, and myself, to reasure her that it's okay, that there are other options out there?
Baby health question.. please help? my 15 month old has some kind of virus (she saw her pedeatrician 2 days ago)... she had a fever, it's seems to have gone... she developed lesions on her tongue and on her face and hands.. seems like hand foot mouth disease, right? my question is about her gums... they seemed to have swollen quite a bit- and she's in quite a bit of pain... should we take her to emerg. or wait til tomorrow and go to a walk-in clinic...??
Pregnancy device thats tests babies health? I'm not pregnant, but i am writing an essy. Well, my essy is about abortion and I know that with today's technology doctors have machines that can tell if a baby will be born with a disease or a mental illness. It'd be very helpful if I could know the name of this machine. Thanks!
Can long hair have any negative effect on a baby's health? My toddler (16 months) has long hair- down to her shoulder. It's hard to take care when showering her. It's harder to wash. Also, her hair tends to drop and cover her eyes. My exwife wants to keep it long. I'm just wondering if there's any health effect for a baby to keep long hair. Thanks for any input.
Post-Baby Health Question! Cyst or Lump inside Vagina? I gave birth naturally 5 months ago, everything normal with the delivery. I did not have an episiotomy but I did tear. I still have pain peeing - but my gyno thinks it has something to do with me breastfeeding. Now I've found a lump or it could be a cyst on the INSIDE of my vagina. It doesn't hurt - but it was itchy last night. It can be pushed back and if I push it comes out...WHAT the heck is this?! Is this like scare tissue or something from my delivery? I have a doc appoint schedule but it's in 2 weeks. Wondering if any other mother has had this, that could give me some insight!
10 mo. baby, health questions? Hi. My 10 month old was 8 1/2 lbs. and 20 inches long at birth, and he grew LOTS up til I started weaning him to regular foods around 2 months ago...Due to some physical ailments I've had and low milk supply I have chosen to slowly wean him up till he is a year, keeping the night feeding till he is 2. Anyhow, he is only 20 something pounds now, and though we have little men in my husband's family, I have worried because my eldest was SO HUGE at his age...if he is mostly on solids and on a good formula, shouldn't he start to gain weight? He IS wearing 12 mo. clothes and slowly growing out of them, so should I just not worry about it? He is also walking along furniture...but he hardly talks, where my eldest constantly jabbers! Do you think this is something I should talk to our doctor about?
Can an unwashed private affect the baby's health ? I don't like taking showers, and often make love to my pregnant wife with an unwashed penis. Could the germs from the built-up smegma affect the baby ? So the mucus plug blocks up all infection and makes the baby safe, right ?
Is my neighbor damaging my unborn baby's health? I'm 4 months pregnant and my downstairs neighbor smoke marijuana and cigarettes all day. The smoke and smell fills up my apartment and both me and my 5 year old are breathing it in most of the day. I can't imagine this is good for me, but have no idea how to address this issue. He also lives in a 1 bedroom apartment and has about 6-7 dogs. Can I have some advice please??!!
I am a house wife and my husband and I want to have a baby but my health insurance does not cover pregnancy.? I found out that it will cost at least $10000 for just the delivery not including other costs such as monthly check ups, blood tests, ultrasound, etc at the doctor's office. I am more worried about getting pregant than enjoying the possible life with a baby because of the cost of having a baby. I have been trying to find a job for myself so that I can have better insurance but no luck for last 2 years. Is there any way, suggestion or tips of having a baby at reduced cost?
Is it normal to worry about the baby's health? I am only 4 weeks pregnant and I want my baby to be healthy, and I worry sometimes if the pregnancy is going fine, because I haven't been to a doctor to tell me that everything is fine. I think I am going to have my first prenatal at 8 or 9 weeks.. Is it normal to worry about my baby's health? By the way, its my 1st pregnancy, my 1st baby, so this is something completely unknown to me..
What would you do if it came to your future baby's health? You or your wife (if you're a guy) were expecting a child and found out that the baby you were going to have was going to be born with complications such as severe autism, down syndrome, or some other debilitating disease that would require your 110% dedication and care since the child wouldn't grow up able to take care of itself. Your financial situation is barely able to afford your little apartment and a "normal" baby and you options are... --grin a bear it, rely on foodstamps and making hubby work super long shifts to be able to afford treatments and taking care of your child well into your senior years, giving custody up once you get too old... --hope someone is willing to adopt your special child and put faith in the adoption system in finding a suitable family... --abort and simply keep the child from living a life of suffering and doubt while knowing God can do better than you... --or...? How would you handle a situation like that? Sensitive, but its something to consider. I'm all for taking care of disabled children (going into pediatric nursing hoping to do so)... However if you're financial situation doesn't really allow the medical bills and one breadwinner? Life has many "IF"s in it. I'd just like to know peoples opinions on things like this. Something the government should pay attention to and lend a couple of their billions to helping out with huh?
Are dogs bad for a newborn baby's health? My mom is having a baby in two months and my parents say that we have to sell our dog before the baby comes because the allergens dogs have are harmful to babies. Help, please?
Baby Movement and the health of my baby? Hi moms! I am 31 weeks pregnant, and my baby is moving well, I believe. I have done kicking counts and I have never had a quiet time span for too long However, I would say, overall during my whole pregnancy, my baby seems really mellow. He has never been a crazy kicker the way I have heard other women describe their kids. He never seems to be hyper active I know he is moving and all right - so this may be a stupid question, but is my baby's chilled out, occasional kicking style a sign of bad health? Is he not active enough in there? Thanks!
Is there something wrong with my baby's health? im 35 weeks n i went to the doctor 2day...he measured my belly and said i measure 30 cm. but he sent me to get an ultrasound 2 weeks earlier. the only thing they told me was the baby weighed 4.12 pounds. so today i asked him if she's growing normal n healthy. all he seys is that the ultrasound seys 61 percent and that i wont want a big baby since it pushes you to get a c-section. n he was apperently in a rush n had to leave the room. so do u guyz think the baby is ok? and what is that 61 percent for?
Can being overweight affect my future baby's health? I'm scared...because I'm 205 pounds and 5"4' and I'me worried that being overweight...may affect my baby...Well I'm planning to have one but I'm so worried my baby can get diabetes if I'm overweight before pregnancy...and if i lose weight before conceiving will i lose important nutrients necessary for my baby? Because if i gain more weight while pregnant isn't it dangerous? WOuld it be better if i lost weight and then conceive? if so how many pounds should i lose first?
How do I approach my friend regarding her baby's health? Yesterday, a friend brought her baby to my house. I noticed right away that her baby, who is one month old, looked a little yellow (her skin and the whites of her eyes) which to me suggests jaundice. Then, I changed her diaper and she had a green, thick, slimy discharge coming from her vagina. This friend is one of those people who thinks she knows everything there is to know as a first time mother, as does her husband. Besides that, she thinks her baby is perfect in every way. I have a feeling that by telling her, she will somehow feel like I am being mean to her and stop talking to me. Then even after that, she still probably won't take the baby to get it checked out! Any suggestions? I have the baby's best interest at hand, so I am tempted to just tell her and take the risk of her not speaking. But more than anything I feel like I will just be wasting my breath because like I said, I can tell her and she still won't take her in! HELP!!!
Any health concern for pregnant mother? Health of the baby? I'm sure mother will be ok once her flu goes away but what about baby's health both long term and short term? And both mental and physical health? Also any advice? Mother is about 3 months pregnant. What to do or not to do? Pregnant mother got flu from her husband.
Can I stay on my parent's health insurance(united healthcare) if I get married before I give birth to my baby? Me and my fiance want to "make things right" by getting married before my baby is born, that way he can hurry and enlist in the navy, but my baby will be born in two months. I am not sure how united healthcare works, but I am under my mother's insurance currently. I just need some form of insurance when I give birth, that way I won't be stuck with a costly hospital bill? * We are both living with my parents and I have a part time job. My boyfriend is currently unemployed, but in the process of joining the navy.
How was your baby's health reaction to teething....? Just wondering if my baby is teething now.. she is 5.5 months old now. She vomitted her solid feed food today, and had a temperature. Do you think this could be teething, or just a bug or something in her system. She seems better now, is asleep, but still warm body. What's a normal temperature for baby btw, she was 38.1
Is it normal to feel SO worried about my baby's health? Hi ladies :-) I'm 6w4d pregnant (third pregnancy after 2 losses) and I'm very very scared. I just pray everything is fine with my baby but can't stop that feeling that anything can be wrong :-( Are you feeling or felt the same way? Thanks
Any suggestions about baby's health insurance plan? My husband and I are both students. Our Blue Cross Blue Shield student health insurance plans are for students only and we cannot add our baby (born on 10/07/2010) as a dependent, so we have to buy an individual insurance plan for our baby. BCBS insurance company said baby's insurance will be effective 30 days after they receive our payment and applications, and the cost during this period will not be covered. Is it normal for other insurance companies that all of them do like this? We have already seen the pediatrician twice and done blood tests for jaundice. It seems like we have to pay for these costs ourselves. Could anyone give us some ideas about which insurance company provides better plans for baby? It will be great if any company's plan could be effective from baby's date of birth. Thanks a lot. Thanks a lot for the nice answers so far. Currently we are students but my husband has already got a job postion and is going to work from the next year. And we don't consider medicaid as our 1st choice because our lawyer does not recommend us to do so for future immigration issues. We prefer to buy insurance and we just want it to cover from baby's date of birth. So do you have any recommendations rather than medicaid? Thanks.
Any one have nightmares about your baby's health? I have started having pregnancy nightmares...I am 21 + weeks. Last week in my dreams my husband then my mother died. Last night, my little boy had birth defects I had never even heard of. Anyone else having these? Have you found anything to help them stop...I wake up so scared or sad.
Scientist claims "breast milk is no more beneficial for a child's health than formula milk"? I just read an interesting article about hormones and breastfeeding. "It said the researcher, Professor Sven Carlsen, said the child’s health is actually determined by the hormone balance in the mother's womb, with a high level of male hormones affecting both her ability to breastfeed and the baby’s health." Your thoughts on this? http://www.nhs.uk/news/2010/01January/Pages/Hormones-and-breastfeeding.aspx I didn't base my decisions on this man's findings. I just read it and though it was interesting. I don't think formula is better than breast milk. I was just wanting some opinions on this.
What are the chances of birth defects on a baby whose mother is 25 years old? I am 25 years old and about 19 weeks pregnant, part of being pregnant is worrying about your baby's health and well being. What are the chances of birth defect on a baby whose mother is a healthy 25 year old at the time of conception? Worrying is what I do best :) At the time of conception I was 25, at the time of birth I will be 26 if that helps :)
With this affect the baby's health? My boyfriend made me a relaxing bubble bath with candles and all and so i got into it and as he was about to leave we started to make out then we were having sex and i got pregnant. Will the water and the bubble bath effect the baby's health?
Pregnant. Overdosed. Baby's health.? I have just found out I am 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I am extremely excited and everything has been a surprise. Although the pregnancy is unplanned, I want to keep the baby. I still have many weeks to decide but for the time being, I have taken all the vitamins just in case. The problem is, I have suffered from severe depression and 2 weeks into my pregnancy (I didn't know I was pregnant), I had tried ending my life by overdosing on valium, panadol, aspirin and other pain killers. Now that I am pregnant, I am over the moon as I now have control of something for once in my life. I had an abortion 4 months ago due to my partner not being ready and I didn't take it very well afterwards. Which is why lead to reasons of my overdose. My question is, will the overdose have hurt the baby as it was soon after conception that the overdose occurred? I have been to the doctor today, and he said there is no guarantee but the baby should be fine. The newborn could grow up to seem ok but as it gets older might show symptoms of certain birth defects. This made me worried. Has anyone had the hospital test/scan their pregnancy and say it is healthy and fine then later after birth something is wrong? I do want to keep the baby :) .. but if it is going to have difficulties, I want to save it from misery. I appreciate your input.
does this effect the baby's health? someone said that if i cry(bcoz i lost my bf) the baby may have some complications.. is that true??? i can barely think of nething else other than my bf.. i miss him sooooo much.. and i usually cry the whole day.. i'm nearly 2 months pregnant
What temperature, cooler temperature, is bad for a baby to be in? At which temperature is the baby's health at risk? She is a little over a month now about 5 weeks old. I am concerned because my house is cold to me and I was wondering how the cold may effect her little hands, they're exposed because she like to keep them out of her blankets.
How does diet and other aspects influence sperm, thereby affecting the health of a baby? So, my wife and I are trying to have our second child, but I want to know how my diet and such affects the sperm, which would then affect the baby? Is what the mom eats and does during pregnancy always more impact on the health of the baby? I am a non smoker and don't drink any alcohol and have a fairly healthy diet, not A+, but above a C I would say. I am just wondering how all this affects the babies health via me?
How to have healthiest baby possible? Is it luck? Predictors for baby health problems or birth defects? Is there anything specific about the male or female that can either contribute to a healthy or unhealthy baby? Age? Weight? Stress? Health conditions? Is 32 still young enough? I would love a list of ANYTHING at all to contribute to good health of baby... Whether it involves the conditions of the man and woman before and during conception, and during pregnancy... Thanks! Is there anything that can contribute to getting pregnant as quickly as possible (besides the obvious)? What if you have been on birth control for several years? How long should you be off birth control? What prevents people from being able to get pregnant? Thank you for any answers you have!
Where can I find answers regarding dogs affecting human health? Do I have to keep it completly away from baby? We are expecting a baby and also have a new puppy. We're concerned about what precautions need to be taken if any regarding the babies health. If the dog sleeps in our bed is it ever safe to put the baby on the bed? Are there risks if the dog happens to lick the babies face? Can the baby become sick from contact with the dog? Can the baby crawl on the floor where the dog also walks? We keep the dog clean and bathe her every 10-15 days. But, they are dogs.... are they cleaner than the common stereotype? Hopefully someone can put us in the right direction to answers. Thank you so much for any and all help in advance ! Best regards, Tim Smith
How hard is it to take care of a robotic baby for health class for the weekend? Okay, so for health class we have the choice to take care of a robotic baby, or to write a long essay about what you would do if you had a kid. I'm really not the best essay writer, so I'm thinking about taking care of the robot for the weekend. How hard are they to take care of, and any tips on taking care of it? Thanks.
What can you do if you go beyond 30 day deadline to get newborn baby on health insurance? Our baby was born 7/07/06, wife had an extra week stay due to complications and has been an ongoing thing so lost track of getting the health insurance application in. Health insurance is telling me I have waited too long to get my new baby on my company health insurance plan due to an IRS law and now, of course, all the claims for the medical bills are not being met and bills are due. WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE.
Listening to music in Mobile and baby health? Hi all, My daughter is 17 months old and loves music. My husband used to play songs in mobile and give it to her when she is sleepy. Now she demands it when she is sleepy and she keeps it near her ears. I am a bit worried abt her health. Does it affect her health?
Does a baby need Health insurance right when the baby is born? ? How much does it usually cost? ....... Is it the law that everyone HAS to have health insurance or is it just really necessary? My parents still pay for mine cause im 16. But the doctor said that its my job to make sure it has health care. So is it possible that the baby can get free health care? Like is there a program that offers you any health care for your baby?
Did you get health problems getting pregnant soon after having a baby? My baby is only 13 weeks and we are considering going in for number two soon. I am worried though about health implications for me and the baby. I've heard that there is a higher risk of miscariage and the baby can have health problems too. How soon did you get pregnant after giving birth? Did you or the baby have any health problems caused by getting pregnant so soon?
Even if i quit smoking after 8 weeks of being pregnant, can the baby still have health problems? I'm 8 weeks pregnant, took about 7 weeks to for me to realize this... I'm a smoker, and I did smoke my regular amount the whole time before i recently found out... I'm trying my best to stop now.. is there still a high change of complications? can the baby still have health issues, even if i dont smoke the rest of my pregnancy... please some advice. i feel really bad, and i need some hope.
How can I deliver a baby in Toronto without Health Insurance? I am a new immigrant and just landed and found out that I will get health insurance after 3 months. I am expecting my baby in about one and half month. The Doctors/hospital bills are out of my reach. What options do I have? Where to go for help?
Does physical fitness affect the health of a newborn baby? They say everything including feelings felt by the mother can affect the baby, so if the mother works out regularily, would that cause the newborn child to be born at a higher level of health than a baby born of a mother that relaxed through pregnancy.
I need help with a baby health project: Please help? Here are three questions: - How old do infants need to be accepted into daycare? -whats the cost of daycare for one week and what is the name of the daycare? -How much does a hospital charge for the delivery of a baby? How to nurse an injured wild baby field mouse back to health? My cat caught a baby field mouse and it was laying on my porch injured. Its nose is bloody and I think one of its legs are broken. I put her in a cardboard box with lots and lots of airholes (I don't want my cats to get it again), a shirt to lay on, and put her outside (it's really hot in my house). How should I go about nursing it back to health?

If I don't stay off my feet, will it be harmful to my baby's and my health? I am 10 weeks pregnant with occasional pink spotting. The Dr said there is "a bleed" under the baby's sack and told me I have to stay off my feet and in bed. If I don't what health consequences do we have? Are they just trying to prevent a miscarriage, or would there be more to it than that? I am just wondering if a miscarriage is inevitable, is that what they are trying to stop, or is my health at risk?

will our baby inherit my bf's health problems? i guess this is the downfall to having a kid with an older guy. i'm just under 2 months pregnant, i believe i got pregnant on halloween night. my bf has had lots of problems with kidney stones, has high blood pressure and prostate issues and diabetes. on halloween, he passed a kidney stone. he was suffering from it most of the day. after trick or treating with my nieces i went over to his house and he passed while i was there. he went into the bathroom, i heard a yell, about a minute later he told me to come see it. the stone was sitting in strainer that was over the toilet. the strainer was all urine stained. it was gross, but interesting to see that a rock the size of a tic tac could come out of his weiner! will our baby get these health problems of his? what are the chances?
Best affordable private health insurance for baby? I am 22 weeks pregnant and I have Medicare (for disability) which will not cover our baby once she is born. My husband is starting a new job where it will cost over $400 a month to add the baby to his insurance. We really cannot afford that, but we do not meet the income requirements for CHIP or Medicaid. Can someone recommend a good private health insurance company/plan that is affordable for just the baby? Thanks!

The community health nurse is performing a well baby check on a nine month old infant, the child is due for ro The community health nurse is performing a well baby check on a nine month old infant, the child is due for routine immunizations. The mother who speaks little English is hesitant to give consent for the immunizations; she indicates through an interpreter that immunizations for an infant are prohibited in her culture. The nurse is aware that there is an outbreak of pertussis in the neighborhood where this family lives. Discuss the ethical dilemma using the principles of autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, and justice; consider the nurse, the mother, the infant, & the community.
