Is anyone looking for botanically based baby care products? I was wondering if anyone was interested in sampling some baby care products. Many baby care products contain mineral oil, the molecular structure of which is too large to penetrate the pores of our skin, sitting on the top layer like saran wrap. These products get wiped off over time and give little to no benefit but rather a temporary feeling of softness. Babys in particular need pure water based products that will penetrate their skin and deeply condition and hydrate with the proper ingredients. Arbonne has a great baby care line that is botanically-based and pH correct, pediatrician and dermatologist tested, non-sensitizing, non-irritating, and formulated without nut oils. They are formulated with natural ingredients like oat flour which is an emollient and an emulsifier. It’s highly absorbent and hypoallergenic. Oat flour helps to soothe and soften dry, itchy and sensitive skin. I'm curious to hear your thoughts. If anyone is interested, I would be happy to send you a free sample. http://arbonne.com/products/ http://arbonne.com/products/baby/

Do vegans use all vegan products including make-up and hair care? I am using a vegan product for my entire family called Arbonne. They are a 100% vegan and their products are totally environmentally safe. I use their skin care, baby products, hair care, vitamins, shave cream, weight loss program and their spa products as well. I am a sales rep for the company now, and would like to market and cater to the vegan community since it is close to my heart. Any feedback? Just looking for a different perspective on what else may be out there.

Someone gave a thumbs down to all who said Johnsons. Is there something wrong with Johnsons? Can you elaborate for me?

Baby-care without chemicals? Even the most popular baby care products contain cancer-causing ingredients. http://www.ewg.org/reports/skindeep2/search.php?main_cat=BABY+PRODUCTS I'm trying as much as possible to only use natural products on my baby. So far, I have replaced baby oil with olive oil.. For diaper change i add a couple of drops of tea tree oil to the olive oil on a cloth. It works great for diaper rash and regular changes. I only use cloth diapers. I'm starting to make my own babyfood. It's better since homemade doesn't contain preservatives. Does anyone have any other tips for chemical-free baby-care?

(Oh, and baby lotion makes her hair greasy.) Thanks for any suggestions!
do you any of these baby products? Babies absorb phthalates from baby products By Megan Rauscher Mon Feb 4, 10:36 AM ET NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - A new study suggests that baby lotion, baby powder, and baby shampoo may be exposing babies to potentially harmful chemicals called phthalates. "At this time, we do not know what the potential long-term health effects might be, but there is a large body of animal studies to suggest developmental and reproductive toxicity (from phthalates) and a few human studies with changes in health outcomes as well," Dr. Sheela Sathyanarayana told Reuters Health. Phthalates are used to make plastics flexible and stabilize fragrances, and are found in a plethora of consumer products including toys, personal care products and medical equipment. As reported online today in the journal Pediatrics, Sathyanarayana, from the University of Washington, Seattle, and colleagues measured the levels of nine different phthalate breakdown products in urine from from diapers of 163 infants aged 2 to 28 months. All of the urine samples contained at least one phthalate at measurable levels, they report, and 81 percent of the samples had measurable amounts of seven or more phthalates. "We found that reported use of baby lotion, baby shampoo, and baby powder was associated with increased concentrations of monethyl phthalate (MEP), monomethyl phthalate (MMP), and monoisobutyl phthalate (MIBP) in infant urine," Sathyanarayana said. This association was strongest in young infants less than 8 months old, "who may be more vulnerable to developmental and reproductive toxicity of phthalates," the investigators note in their report. At present, U.S. manufacturers are not required to list phthalate contents on products' package labels, making it hard for parents to make informed decisions, the investigators point out. "If parents want to decrease exposures for their children, they can try to use lotions, shampoo, and baby powder sparingly. i found this article on my home page in yahoo news.
What is the best skin care product for babies? I have always used Johnson and Johnson for my 4.5 month old son. I know there are better products, so I'd like to hear what you think it's the best? Not that I am not liking what I'm using now, but I would like to switch...to something better. (talking about shampoo, lotion, oil)
Favorite baby product? What, in your opinion, is the best baby care product you have used and what do you think is just a waste of money?

I use Johnson's baby shampoo and Nexus alcohol free mousse. I need help finding conditioner and hairspray. I want something reasonably priced (nothing over $15-$20) and something easy to find. Any suggestions and advice would be appreciated.
What a good slogan for an ad on skin care line of products for my package design class project? I need help in creating a slogan for my package design class. I am creating two lines of skincare products: 1. baby skin care line called BonBon (organic, chamomile and honey, etc) 2. Your favorite baby products...? What are some of your favorite baby products? And a few you don't really care for, or find useless. A few of my favorites are... 1. Johnson & Johnson cucumber melon body wash and lotion 2. Banana Boat baby ultra-mist sunblock 3. Fisher Price rainforest Jumperoo 4. Fisher Price rain forest booster seat w/ attachable play tray 5. Huggies little swimmers 6. Playtex ventair bottles ( I have heard people complaining they leaked but my son LOVED them and they really cut down on swallowed air) A few things I don't care for is his changing table, in fact, I got rid of it. It's hard to do changings when he's laying sideways in front of me and wiggling! I hate Pampers cruisers too. They make my son wreak like pee right after he pees just a little bit. Which was a disappointment, because I really like Pampers Baby Dry diapers. He isn't interested in Baby Einstein videos either. That sucks because they are not cheap! I returned it. I thought he would watch it since he's 7 months old, and always watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse lol.. Oh well, maybe later.

Can you recommend a really large indoor play yard or gate product for a crawling baby? Our baby started crawling so we want to put him in a play area inside the house (living room) so he can't get into stuff. Something like this, http://store.babycenter.com/product/safety+-+baby+care/safety/gates/superyard+xt.do?asc=false, but much bigger (so he has plenty of room to roam, play, and explore), and hopefully nicer-looking. I'd prefer something with mesh instead of bars. Also something free-standing like the one in the picture above; nothing that requires construction or drilling holes into a wall, please. Can someone please recommend a product? A make and model name and number would be great, a link would be even better. Thanks!
How do I take care of my baby girl's hair ?? She is half black half indian. It has a silky texture but is thick. I'm thinking that by making pony tails I will break her hair. Should I use grease or any hair products ??What kind of tips do u have?
Should a baby born as the result of a botched partial birth abortion be allowed to die by denying care? Obama? A partial birth abortion is when a woman carries a baby to full term and begins labor or has labor induced prior to a natural delivery during her waning pregnancy. The baby is then actually “partially” born. The doctor/nurse ensures a foot, leg or some body part is still within the birth canal and a doctor inserts a large bore needle into the baby’s skull cavity and sucks out the brain. That exceeds the extreme of rationalization to rely on the technicality that a foot is still within the birth canal so it’s still a fetus and not a baby. Obama supports partial birth abortion. The U. S. Supreme Court has yet to hear any cases on the denial of care to a baby born due to a botched abortion where the delivery occurred so quickly, no body part remained in the birth canal and the baby was allowed to die via denial of care. One such case occurred in Illinois where the live baby was simply placed in a medical closet until it died. Prosecutors attempted to bring murder charges against those involved however, the courts dismissed the charges ruling that the baby was the product of a medical mistake during an abortion and could not be considered a human being for the purpose of having the human rights of a person or the constitutional rights of a citizen. The court ruled the baby to be an abortion fetus and thus it was not entitled to life. The Illinois legislature attempted to pass legislation making the denial of care to babies born via a botched abortion process a crime and Obama voted against that legislation four (4) times. That is a bizarre rationalization to the extreme in my opinion. What kind of human being can do such a thing to a baby? Answer: Barack Obama

What baby bath products do you like to use? This may be heresy, but I don't really care for the smell of Johnson's baby shampoo, and never really have. What are your favorite bath products to use, and what would you avoid? I'm pregnant, but i'd love to use L'Oreal Kids gentle tear free shampoos on my baby (if he/she has any hair lol). They have wonderful, fruity, but not too strong smells: fruit punch, watermelon, sunny orange, melon, etc. For instance: what about body washes or soaps- what's your favourite? Do you like the all-in-one body & hair washes? Are bath mitts a good idea? How about lotions? Great answers so far everybody- I didn't know Johnson's made an oatmeal vanilla shampoo! Mmmm... Who is giving all the thumbs down?! Just so you know, it's not me...These people are just saying, "I like this, it smells good." How does that warrant a thumbs-down?

What I would like to know is, I am currently composing a letter to send to some major companies to ask for donations in the form of thier products to include in these care packages...and Im not exactly sure of how to word it...any ideas? or does anyone know of any companies who will do this?? thanks I am part of a non-profit recognized group...
Good bath/skin products for a baby w/sensitive skin? Hi there, does anyone know any good skin care (bath lotion, body wash, shampoo) for a baby with sensitive skin? (my 5 week old son seems to get irritated by Johnson & Johnson bath stuff, Aveeno baby seems to be a little better, but I was hoping to find something maybe organic without alcohol and without tons of random ingredients that are likely irritating his skin). Thanks in advance!
