- u must ask of your parents
- If your unsure why dont you call or go to the store where you got the fish..
- The powdered flakes will be OK, but don't give them too much.
- change the water 10% per day (babies are not as hardy as adults) feed commercial fry food, baby brine shrimp or finely crushed flakes. once they grow to about a centimetre/half an inch they can go back with their parents. keep the temperature up.
- There is commercial fry food available in pet stores. It is a very fine powder and easily eaten. I have also just used adult flakes for live-bearers but crush them up first. It has been my experience that it takes about 2 months or so for babies to became big enough to be put back in the big tank, but the most important factor is the size of your adult fish...can they get the babies in their mouths? The water quality is very important to their survival, clean and the proper temperature. Regardless of the best care, expect that you will lose a few...it's just the way of nature. - Depending on big of a tank you have, you should go buy a net breeder and put the fry in there. They are fine to eat the flakes as long as they are broke up really fine. They will need to eat about 5 or 6 times a day..Don`t freak out if you only end up with a couple at the end. I had 25 guppy fry and ended up with only 2. It will take about a month before they can be let out out of the breeder, and depending on what else is in your tank you may want to get them ther own 1 or 5 gallon tank until they get a little bigger..Hope this helps some...
- You should remove the parent from the tank, and feed them live foods. Live foods will make them grow faster. You should also make sure that the water is fresh. Add plants into the fry tank to provide hiding spaces from each other because the stronger ones will bully the weaker ones.
- They are not "fries". They are fry. It is collective. Like geese.
