How to have healthiest baby possible? Is it luck? Predictors for baby health problems or birth defects?
Is there anything specific about the male or female that can either contribute to a healthy or unhealthy baby? Age? Weight? Stress? Health conditions? Is 32 still young enough? I would love a list of ANYTHING at all to contribute to good health of baby... Whether it involves the conditions of the man and woman before and during conception, and during pregnancy... Thanks! Is there anything that can contribute to getting pregnant as quickly as possible (besides the obvious)? What if you have been on birth control for several years? How long should you be off birth control? What prevents people from being able to get pregnant? Thank you for any answers you have!

- Definitely eating right and good helps with having a healthy baby. The best advice is for both future mom and dad to live a healthy life too leading up to the days of conception aka no drinking/drugs ect. Once pregnant, eating healthy foods, avoiding tuna fish, caffine, and anything else your doctor may suggest. Exercising is also key - I walked 4 miles every day for my first pregnancy, not only was it good for me, but it was good for the baby too. trying to avoid stress is also beneficial, although it's almost impossible to not get stressed here and there when you are pregnant for the first time. Take prenatal vitamins too. Just use common sense too, you can have a very healthy, happy baby. Good luck to you.
- Eat well, folic aid vitamins also look at your family history to see what runs on either mom or dad's side that should help. Other than that get an ovulation kit people who time sex wrong have a harder time getting pregnant. Knowing when your fertile is the proven fastest way of concieveing
- If both of you eat right and take good care of yourselves from the beginning... don't drink alcohol or do drugs...get plenty of rest, etc. --this would definitely be a good factor towards conceiving a good, healthy baby. I think age 32 is just fine if you are healthy yourself -- ladies 40+ are having their first child and they are born healthy. As for getting pregnant quickly... ya gotta catch those ovulation times...doing the deed during those 3 days and catching that "right" time. Being on birth control for a long time before getting pregnant doesn't seem to matter for some women... it all depends on the two partners and the timing. As for what prevents people from getting pregnant... again..it's either meant to be or not meant to be.. again...Timing... and.... Patience. Good luck!
- I would suggest getting a vitamin from the healthfood store that is called a prenatal vitamin. At the healthfood store, they can help advise you, and perhaps suggest some good books for you to read and find valuable information. Find a vitamin that preferably has no iron in it, or very low iron (9 mg. or less). Look online for "Iron and vitamin E". If you look online under "pregnancy and folic acid", you will find that this one vitamin is very important to the health of an unborn baby, in many ways. Actually, look up any searches for "pregnancy and nutrition" and this may help. Just keep any additional iron low, as this is probably what makes many women sick, and if you look it up you may find other important information regarding not using too much iron prior to and during pregnancy. One suggestion that is important to the baby's health and that of your own, is to keep your protein intake high (60g. or higher) when you do become pregnant. This recommendation helps avoid many problems common to pregnant women, as well as touted as good for the baby's brain growth. Eat as much "pure" and natural food as possible, avoiding cakes, cookies, donuts, and other junk foods.
