Is it normal to worry about the baby's health?
I am only 4 weeks pregnant and I want my baby to be healthy, and I worry sometimes if the pregnancy is going fine, because I haven't been to a doctor to tell me that everything is fine. I think I am going to have my first prenatal at 8 or 9 weeks.. Is it normal to worry about my baby's health? By the way, its my 1st pregnancy, my 1st baby, so this is something completely unknown to me..

- You are very, very, very, very, very normal :-) Hang in there. The odds are really with you for everything to be just fine.
- Absolutely its normal to worry or have anxiety about your pregnancy...it would be not normal not to be worried, doesnt matter if this is your 1st or 5th we all still worry. Just relax, follow all of your OB's advise, and enjoy your pregnancy, as it goes by far to fast IMO.
- Yes it is very normal...Im sure everythings fine...good luck...
- of course its completely normal to worry about your baby's health. it would be abnormal if you didnt worry.
- Yes! It is absolutely normal. Try to get an appt to see the doctor sooner if you can. Do you have any books that talk about pregnancy? I loved What to Expect When Expecting. Eat healthy, stop smoking and drinking if you do. Do everything you can to make sure that the baby stays healthy. Good luck! And by the way, my son turned 8 today and I still worry about his health, so I don't think the worrying will go away. =)
- This is your 1 st baby of course it is normal.... You wouldn't be normal if you didn't worry. I even worried with my 2nd and my 3 rd and my 4th. You will be fine as long as you go to regular checks usually will be schedule one a month until you you get close to delivery then you will will go once every week or 2. have a good pregnancy and don't let anyone tell you not to worry because it's normal to worry. Your a mommy!!!!
- oh yeah!! you will constantly worry about the baby!! Just don't worry too much.. everything will probably be just fine!!
- This is completely normal, and is the start of the wonderful thing called maternal instinct :) I am on my second baby, and I feel the same way you are, so don't worry that you are being overprotective or paranoid. And to make you feel better, when you are that early along, there is not much a doctor could tell you. It is even too early to detect a heartbeat. You may start to feel morning sickness, but you might not even feel any different until 8 or 9 weeks....So just relax, take care of yourself and I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!!! <3
- Yes! Very, very, VERY normal. I was worried with my first and he turned out great. I worried when I was early in this pregnancy and am still worried..
- this is my 5 week ad i'm very nervous as well but i'm just tryong to relax and enjoy everything. i only have one tube so it was going to be hard for me to have a baby to begin with so i'm doing alot of research about everything. just go to the book store and get a book or two and brush up on some extra info. hope everythig goes well.
