Can a baby have health issues befire 3 months?

One of my friends is 3 months pregnant and she got into a fight at school...my question is "can her baby have health problems because of this?" and "when is the earliest they can test for down syndrome or any other diseases or health problems?"

1. Yes. A baby can develop health issues very young. I am now 19 weeks pregnant. When I was 12 weeks they told me that they could test for some birth defects that cant be cured. I opted out of that..rather let nature take its course basically. A baby can develop problems from stress, drinking, anything that happens to the mommy. She should take care of herself the best she can not just for her but for her baby as well so she can have a safe, happy and healthy baby and pregnancy.
2. Yes babies can develop problems at anytime. My question is, why is she pregnant if she is still in school?? She should have used protection.
