Public Response to How much does health insurance for a baby cost?
- i got blue cross blue sheild for mine and it's $117 a month.
- if you are a pregnant teen, the government will give you and your baby free insurance. it's called medicare. go to your local department of health and human services office or local WIC office, they will help you with what you need to do for paperwork. etc.
- You will not be able to purchase health insurance for just your child. You can purchase a policy for yourself, and insure your daughter under it. However pregnancy is often considered a preexisting condition (unless you live in a state where that is illegal). The cost of the policy depends on many things-The type of policy you buy (a PPO is the most expensive, a high deductible/major medical plan is cheapest). Also the amount of coverage, deductible and co-pay amount, and your underwriting rating will all be taken into account when determining price. Aren't you covered under one of your parent's policies? If so, your baby will be covered as long as your parents are claiming you as a dependent.
- The answer could vary by person. It is alway a good idea to hear the suggestion from different sides and try to choose the best one. Here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/free-online-health-insurance.htm is a good one i recommend.
- health-quotes.isgreat.org - try this one. My wife had no problem with her insurance coverage while being pregnant.
