Baby Parenting Guide

In your opinion what baby care items are a must have for a new born?

i have a daughter but had gotten rid of all of her baby stuff so now i have to start over from scratch. the baby will be here in 3 months and i am getting everything i need next week out of income tax. i already have a crib, highchair, walker, and playpen but that is it. i even have to get clothes etc. what items do you recommend that you cannot go without?

  1. i would get a swing. my baby loves being in his swing. =]
  2. Burp rags. Diapers. Wet wipes. Baby Powder. Baby Swing. Extra Blankets.
  3. Absolute musts on my list: *Swing *Pacifier(s) *Baby Bjorn Carrier *Diapers, Diapers, and more Diapers...shoot if it were possible to know the exact size of the child and you could break it up into quarters I'd be stocked up for a lifetime *Also the thing that goes under the baby's sheet on top of the mattress, its like a soft cushion that is waterproof (sorry don't know the name)
  4. for us it has been his bouncy seat...it has gotten him to sleep many times (when nothing else would work), relieved us all during supper so we could entertain him and allow us to all eat...and right now in general (for a little while longer at least) has been keeping him entertained some during the day so I can do some schoolwork...
  5. Definitely a bouncer. That thing was a life saver for me until Lilah was about 5 months old! Other than that, just the "regular" basic stuff. Someone above me did a good job at that list. =) Good luck and congrats!
