  1. Flintstones chewable multivitamins, just take two since it's meant for children.
  2. i've had to take chewables with both of my pregnancies which my doctor said would be fine my son was almost 10 pounds and perfectly healthy in every way and this one i hope is the same :) good luck!
  3. I couldn't either. Have you tried taking them after a full meal? That may help. Many OBs recommend Flintstone vitamins if their patient is having problems with regular prenatal ones.
  4. My doc told me two flintstones. Works wonders.
  5. I'm pretty sure you can take regular multivitamins, you know like the Fred Flintstone candy-like vitamins. I had trouble at first too because I wasn't used to taking such a big pill. Have you tried taking it with caffeine-free soda or juice? Something sweet that would hide the taste of the prenatal? Or cut it in half and taken them separately? It was really hard for me, but my boyfriend coached me through taking it every night.
  6. With my first, I hated taking my vitamins. My doctor recommended taking 2 flinstone chew-ables, one in the morning and one in the afternoon so you don't get constipated, which is why I stopped the regular vitamins. Make sure it has the folic acid in the ones you get. I also tried the gummy ones too, that worked out great for when I got tired of the chew-ables.
  7. well i had the same talk with my doctor last week ... she said taking prenatals isnt for the baby , its for you .. b/c your baby takes stuff from you .. so if u stopped taking them ur baby will not be affected .. and neither will u ... I have stopped taking .. and just think women did take them for 1000's of years before us ...
  8. i could not take my prenatal vitamins either so i took the Flintstones chew vitamins they are just as good you need some kind of vitamin for your baby as you know so yea try those
  9. tell your doctor. there are different brands and formulas out there. your baby really needs iron and folic acid right now, so i'd try to keep taking some type of vitamin. have you tried taking it at different times during the day or with food? i could only take my vitamins in the early evening and it had to be with ginger-ale or some fizzy drink just so i could keep it down. i'm 6 months now and my sickness has passed so i take it in the morning because that's easier for me. but, my point is--just try to take a prenatal vitamin because that'll best meet your pregnancy needs.
  10. I take mine at night with a meal. You can eat 2 bowls of Total cereal a day (per my OB) to replace them.
  11. I wasn't able to stomach prenatal vitamins with my first child and he is 3. I am now pregnant and still can't, I have tried other vitamins such as Flintstones and I couldn't even take those. I have been told by my doctor as long as you eat healthy and have a well-balanced diet you will be fine.
