How often do you make your baby food from scratch?

I mean how often to you cook babyfood, not how often you feed your baby home made food. Do you do it in bulk once a month, or do you cook weekly? Is it easier to do every few days? What works for you? I currently use jarred food and fully intend to still use it. I just want to make some to add a little more variety.

  1. I buy fresh food once every two weeks and cook in bulk and freeze. It works well in our home :) It is soooo much cheaper than those nasty jars - and a million times more yummy!
  2. I cooked whenever I needed more or when I saw something in the store I wanted to make for him. I'd usually make a big enough batch that it would last for a couple of weeks.
  3. i made baby food every few days so i knew it was fresh. i would steam the veggies until the were super soft and then puree them and strain them when she was very little. now i just puree them because she can handle little chunks here and there but i also use jarred food. it is not horrible to use jar food.
  4. Ive got a fussy baby so i end up cooking his dinner everyday!! Tried putting some in fridge for next day he wouldn't have it!! He wont eat baby jars either!
  5. I microwave steam it and then puree it in the magic bullet blender so I would just do a little at a time for my twins. I tried making it in bulk and putting it in ice cube trays and freezing it but that just didn't work for me. I ended up just making a little batch, using some, putting the rest in the fridge and using it up until it was gone.
