Natural (Vaginal) Delivery baby health vs Scissorian delivered baby health?

Are there any Health implications on scissorian delivered babies? I heard from medical practitioners that Normal Delivery is very good for baby’s future health. Such babies become healthy and have natural instinct to fight with all hazards of life. On the contrary Scissorian delivered baby’s are of weak health and lack the ability and instinct to fight back? I am seriously confused because my baby is Scissorian delivered baby and is of weak health, Can anybody suggest whether there is any medical solution for this?

Public Response to Natural (Vaginal) Delivery baby health vs Scissorian delivered baby health?

  1. First of all it's Cesarian, not Scissorian. But one thing you have to be concerned is that once you give a Cesarian birth, that's the only way you'll be able to birth children from hereon out. I think you shouldn't be concerned as Cesarian is only for mothers that can't give birth naturally for whatever reason that may be.
  2. its Cesarean btw ...but my son was born by c-section and was fine, he had some liquids in his lungs due to not having had them squeezed out from a natural birth. after a day he was fine. he's now 9 months old and a wonderful healthy baby boy and he most deff has the instinct to fight! if your baby is weak of health then take him/her to the doctors.
  3. he yea, using scissors to deliver a baby would ensure some sort of stabbing
  4. The only thing that I can think of that would be different with a baby's health due to a cesarean would be that the amniotic fluid would take longer to be expelled from the baby's lungs. During a natural, vaginal delivery the amniotic fluid is basically squeezed out of the lungs, whereas in a cesarean section, there is no pressure to expel it. There is really no health risk to the baby because of this, per say, but it does make for a gargle-y sounding cry for the first few days. If your baby was delivered via c-section and they are "of weak health" as you put it, then the baby has a health problem unrelated to the section that it probably developed in-utero. Your baby's pediatrician will best know how to deal with any illness or poor health.
  5. CESAREAN! The only difference medically is that not being pushed through the birth canal, C-sect delivered babies tend to have more fluid left in their nose/mouth/throat after being born....no big deal, it just takes the Dr's a little longer to get the remaining fluid out with a bulb syringe. I believe whoever told you this noncense about fight back, is just BS and it sounds ridiculous
  6. OMG Scissorian ! do they take the baby out with Scissors ?
  7. First of all, having a c-section does NOT mean that you have to have only c-sections in the future. It may be difficult to find a doctor (depending on your area) that supports a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), but they are much safer than having multiple surgeries in most cases. The chances of Uterine rupture are very small for VBAC but increase greatly with multiple surgeries. Meaning the more uterine surgeries you have the more likely your uterus is to rupture regardless of delivery method. As far as your baby's health you should talk to your doctor. If your baby is not acting normal, is weak, not eating well, not gaining weight, is lethargic, etc. your doctor should see him/her immediately. If you are just concerned and have questions, seeing the doctor is the best way to find out if something is wrong.
  8. I had 2 vaginal (w/ epidural) deliveries, then a C-section, then a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Caesarian). My sister had 2 elective C-sections and both her kids are healthy and happy. The thing about C-sections is that sometimes the babies can be born early because the gestational age is calculated incorrectly in some situations, so some babies have weak lungs. Other than that, though, they're both very similar. Speak to your doctor and he/she will help you come up with the right choice for you. Good luck!!
  9. Hey whether its scissorian or natural delivery it does not effect d health of baby. Its only the mother who will suffer .After natural delivery a lady can do her work more comfortably as compared to the one with scissorian. No need to worry and take care of ur child.
  10. Yes it's true scissorian baby alwasy get sick
