Who are the Demsin the House that are linking abortions and baby killing to health care?

Do they put the right to elective abortions on the same plane as national health care? What possibly be the logic of this unnecessary division within the party? dukemack, yes I agree. thats why i dont understand the divisiveness. it makes no sense to weaken the bill by including elective abortions, by their definition are not necessary for the health of the mother, but do guarantee non-health of the baby. by the way, i otherwise like the bill (at least what i have been allowed to find out about). why are Dems afraid to engage this topic?

Public Response to Who are the Demsin the House that are linking abortions and baby killing to health care?

  1. Almost all of them.
  2. Guess you didn't get the memo...I'll be right back..I got a copy. Ah, Here it is... The Republican National Committee’s health insurance plan covers elective abortion – a procedure the party’s own platform calls “a fundamental assault on innocent human life.” http://news.yahoo.com/s/politico/20091112/pl_politico/29456
  3. Many people believe it is not right to force people with strong views on this to fund someone elses abortion. All that is desired is a block on any spending of our tax dollars on this.
  4. Everyone who supports that should be required to watch an abortion live.Watch how the baby tries to avoid being killed.Sad when birth control is so easy to obtain.I would support sterilizations.
  5. There are 219 Democrats who voted for the bill. Liberals don't value life. They want power. Taking over health insurance and health care is a way of getting more power.
  6. Because for the CHILD abortion is a healthcare issue If due to the repressive policies of the horribly misnamed right to lifers a woman is forced to have and then raise a child that she doesn't want and can't take care of [see slavery ]then it is more than a little possible that that unwanted child will eventually get abused and/or killed by it's mother or her boyfriend/husband/lover/pimp To the Rose's of the world that suggest that we all watch abortions: I suggest a trade The pro-choicers will have to watch vids of abortions being performed if the pro-lifers will watch vids of abused and abandoned American kids Deal ?
  7. Reasons why abortion should be covered under a public health insurance plan: 1. Abortion is a health care procedure so it should naturally be covered under health care insurance. 2. Abortion needs to be accessible to low-income individuals who may not be able to pay out of pocket for an abortion. 3. Abortion coverage under public health care actually saves the government money as the relative cost to provide abortions is a mere fraction of the cost to pay for the pregnancies to be continued and to pay for the children to the age of 18. 4. The expense of an abortion can prevent someone who has no business being a parent from attaining one. I would much rather that children not come into any situation that is not the best for them. 5. The time it can take for an individual to finance an abortion may push their abortion procedure to a later stage of pregnancy when the procedure is more invasive, costs more and includes greater risks and complications. 6. Abortion needs to be attainable by minors who often don't have the means to fund the procedure. 7. Legal and publicly funded abortions benefit society as a whole. Abortion lowers crime rates and saves government and social programs money. Oh, and abortion doesn't kill a baby. Babies are alive outside of the womb, not in it.
  8. Who are the Republicans in the House that are ignoring the death rates of kids in the USA? One of the highest rates in the western world. I do not understand why so many Americans have fallen for lies about healthcare in the USA, abroad and also the planned reforms [1]. I mean, if the healthcare system in the USA is so good, why have no other nations taken it up? Could it be due to the following facts? FACT - the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [2]. FACT - the US has higher death rates for kids under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [3]. Or if the US healthcare system is run so well, why not run the fire service like the healthcare system? [4] Maybe that is because in the USA, insurance companies push up costs, buy politicians and refuse to pay claims that people pay for [5]. (Look up Wendell Potter on YouTube to hear more if the link below is too long.) Obama wants to make insurance cheaper, stop insurance companies from refusing health coverage to those with pre-existing conditions, and make sure they pay out when they are meant to [6], a system similar to that which works in Taiwan [7]. He debated this before he was elected [8]. Is it right that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, Cuba, Germany and so many other industrialised nations with universal healthcare? If you think my arguments are wrong, e-mail me with proof. But if you can not, let Obama try to help America. If he fails, vote him out in 2012.
