How do I get baby food stains out?
I have a baby that's 5 months old, and he loves sweet potatoes; Only He's a messy eater and manages to get it everywhere. So there's bright orange food on everything. How do I get these stains out?

- OH how adorable, that is such a great age. How about not worrying so much about the stains... worry instead eating healthy and give your little one a large bib that can get all yucky and stained. they are learning to eat and its fun. like an artist they wear smocks or old t-shirts. make a tye dirt shirt for your baby with lots of food color stains on purpose. Save the nice cloths for picture taking after meals or for special outings to friend, relatives, grandparents house. When its warm take off the shirt..clean up is actually easier too. If he did get some on a nice shirt take it off and presoak it in basin/sink rub detergent on spot and a few drops of bleach in water directly not on cloths to sanitize too.Dish detergents actually work well too presoak and then launder as usual, if they stain is not out after wash, presoak and wash again. Don't dry until stain is clear otherwise heat will set the stain. Take pictures...... before you know it he'll be wearing other cloths he'll be growing everyday. Your a good momie to be concerned about his cleanliness but it IS fun to play a little too. Food textures are a lot of fun. ps. I purchased a rug shampoo-er for similar concerns with twin boys and their developing "skills". Enjoy your very own SWEET POTATOE!
- I know exactly what you mean !! Oxyclean will get these stains out. Also, there is a pre-wash called Totally Toddler...this stuff is fantastic !!! And it smells just like a baby..mmm! It gets out stains & odor. Babies are the best ! Hope this works for you..it does for me.
- Spot Shot is great for carpet stains and it can be purchased at most grocery stores, in the cleaning supplies isle. Most pet stores carry it, but are usually over priced. Spray the stain, get it pretty wet, let it sit 5 to 10 minutes, if necessary it can be repeated immediately after and several times. It fades about everything. When the stain is about gone, or gone completely use a dry towel and dry the spot. "Goo be gone" is good for counter and linoleum and it comes in spray or liquid bottles. I have found it in the paint supplies and sometimes cleaning supplies area in grocery stores.
- Use Cascade dish washer detergent with a few drops of dawn for dishes, and rub it on the stain, let it set for about 10 to 15 Min's. scrub again and rinse,
