- Put it in the freezer. If you refrigerate it, it will only be good for a couple of days. If you freeze it, it will be good for a few months. Make sure it's in a sealed container.
- yesssssssssssssssssss
- I made all of my daughter's baby food. You can make it in big batches and freeze it in ice cube trays. Once it is frozen, transfer to ziploc bags and store in freezer for up to 6 months. A food processor works better than a blender, though. My blender didn't work very well.
- I made my son's food & I would make large batches at once and then freeze them in ice cube trays. Once they were frozen, I'd take them out of the trays and store them in a freezer bag. Once I needed them, I'd thaw them. This saved a lot of time! The Super Baby Food book is a great source for the amount of time foods can be safely stored in the freezer. It also has a lot of recipes that my kids both enjoy. It's a crazy-thorough book, but if you just use it like a cookbook instead of reading it through, you'll enjoy it!
- I applaud your decision to feed your baby this way, it is easiest when you can make in bulk and when appropriate, take part of the family meal and blend until ok for the baby- Use an icecube tray to freeze it then pop it out and store in an airtight bag in the freezer. It will be good for up to 6 weeks like this. Here's a fantastic website with loads of yummy recipes and hints and tips on home cooking for baby: http://www.annabelkarmel.com/
- refrigeration is not adequate... even you cant use preservatives for baby-food... better go for vacuum storage containers and then store it in refrigerator... the most recommended way is freshly prepared food...
- get some ice cube trays and freeze the puree in it. once it's frozen, put the cubes in a resealable plastic bag and write what's in it and date it. it should stay good for at least a month. if you put some in the fridge then i believe it stays good for 24 h.
- you could refridgerate it for short term storage...but it would have to be used soon...within a few days. Try canning it, making sure its air tight, you'll be able to store it for a long time! possibly freezing too!
- buy one steel tub in the tub you put some water and put your small baby foods pots its very easy if you put in refrigerator then your baby will get seek or fewer
- Way to go. Making your own babyfood is nutritionally superior than jarred food. I made all my baby food. I would make it in large volumes and freeze it in ice cube trays. Then would remove the food cubes and put them in a ziplock bag. Below is a great online resource that I relied on. It used to be in my favorites.
- You can freeze it without losing any nutritional value. To make it easier to thaw (it is not advisable to refreeze food once you've thawed it), freeze it in ice-cube trays. You can use 1-3 ice cubes depending on how much your baby eats and the size of your cubes. You can also get a baby food mill to make small amounts of food if you prefer to give her freshly made baby food at every meal. It looks like a pepper-grinder and is hand-cranked. You can grind small portions of food in it.
