What did you give your baby first? Veggies or fruits? What was your schedule? How much formula/ Breast milk between baby food? Did your baby like the baby food? If not, what was there reaction to it? Did your babies poop change colors? Did he/she get diarrhea? I know this is alot of questions.. But im looking for answers from moms with experience! Thank you!

- I started out with Baby cereal first. I gave it morning only at the start. And a first she probaly got more on her than in her mouth. Than it went to twice a day i would feed at breakfast and dinner. Once that feeding was established I started on the veggies and fruits. Offering a new type evey week. She was never really picky and liked everything. I found no changes in her poop at all.
- I gave her first a teaspoon of pureed banana. then a teaspoon of baby porridge. Once in a day, in between the feed. She lapped it up. Then, I replaced, slowly, within a week.. two nursing sessions. One, baby cereal/porridge with a fruit pureed in it. Another, food pureed (home made). Once in a while, she just doesn't want to eat, and wants to nurse, so I let her. At other times, she enjoys the food.. so good :) Poop def changed colour and all that. Let the first foods be finely pureed, cereals runny etc. So she adjusts slowly. With time you can replace nursing (1/2 sessions), or for now, just give the food and then nurse her as she wants. All the best, God bless :)
- Hi, I started giving my baby solids (pureed) foods at 3m3weeks (which was ok from pediatrician). I started giving it to him half and hour after his bottle feed (so that his stomach could settle). I first tried banana + pear + mango (+ nothing else) it's an Australian brand called Rafferty's Garden and my husband and I realized that he's allergic to banana's, so we tried the other flavours. Just this month I've changed him to the Heinz brand baby foods and i'm glad. At night feeds (dinner time) he has his milk feeds first, I change his bum etc then give him beef with pumpkin & sweet potato (which he LOVES or the Golden Sweetcorn & chicken) for breakfast he'll have milk first then fruity pear once I put him on solids (pureed) foods he got allergies, nappy rash because the poo changes to a peanut butter, solid type. My son is 5 months and drinks 6oz of milk every 3 - 4 hours. (or on demand really, so whenever he's hungry, I feed him) and he loves his solid foods.
- i gave him a bit of applesauce when he was 4 months old. he loved it. i went real slow, gave pureed veggies and fruits only a few times a week, then more often. now he is 13 months and eats yogurt, bread, yogurt/milk/soup with porridge. and he eats a bowl of cornflakes with a little milk every morning. he is not nursing anymore from less then a months ago. his poop changed a lot! i noticed from a young age when he ate bananas, his poop was dark and 'together' making it for a very easy cleanup. and once he stopped nursing his poop became frightfully smelly! sorry if TMI, but... you asked
- I started with cereal, just once a day. I continued to breastfeed on demand. She seemed to enjoy it ok. No diarrhea or other changes.
- Fruit and veg are full of lots of essential nutrients like vitamins, minerals and fibre, and to make sure your baby benefits from the full array of nutrients these foods have to offer it makes good sense to include lots of different types - a mix of green vegetables (e.g. broccoli, cabbage, green beans), yellow or orange vegetables (e.g. carrots, squash, swede, sweet potato), and fruits (e.g. apricots, mangoes, bananas, peaches). Include some fruit and veg at every meal if possible, and aim for 5 servings a day, but don’t worry if some days, especially at the start of weaning, this is less.
