How much baby food can my 16lb 4month baby eat?

He Loves to eat beechnut baby food and eats one jar a day... Stage 1 baby food. How much did you give your baby at his weight or age? He drinks 6oz of formula every 3-4 hours. He is actually 4 months 3 weeks.

1. None, current reccomedations is starting solids at 6 months.
2. I would just start with 1 jar. After a few weeks then you can move up to two jars per day, depending how much formula he is drinking. At this age my children were drinking 8 oz every 2 hours, so I chose to feed them baby food 2-3 x per day. 6 oz every 3-4 hours is not excessive though and his main source of nutrition is still supposed to be formula.
3. 1 jar of baby food is plenty for a baby of that age. The size of your child does not matter, it is if their digestive system is ready for it. Stick with on solid meal a day and give formula as you usually would.
4. My doctor told me to start feeding my son baby food stage one at four months and she said I could give him a jar at lunch and a jar at dinner but to start with fruits and veggies first. Still give your baby formula but once you start feeding him more baby food he will slow down on the liquid GOLD!! aka formula.
