Can a baby sleep through the crowing of a rooster?
My neighbor has some roosters. We live in a residential neighborhood, but there is no rule against roosters! The roosters are so loud, I must sleep with earplugs in the morning to not hear them. Sometimes they will crow for a half hour straight. This takes place between 5 am and 3 pm. I am pregnant. Will my baby be able to sleep through this? I've heard they sleep through anything.

- If you are lucky!
- kill the rooster
- yes will get used to it mine used to fall asleep in busy crowds n playgroups with load of kids screaming
- Babies are not disturbed by animal sounds as bad as they would be motors! In the early years I think the baby will be not disturbed as bad as you think. If sleepy enough he'll have to as thats all babies live for until age of two ! You can always give him little ear muffs ! As long as there aren't grinding motors or noxious smells (thats what I have to deal with.)
- When babies are very tired or deeply asleep, loud noises are not a problem. But when they are in a lighter sleep it's different. I also found my children slept more soundly at different stages of their development. In any case, I would be very surprised if the roosters did not wake the baby up from time to time, at least.
- Not all sleep through every thing TRUST ME some do though if you are lucky it will if you believe in god pray to him for the child to be able to sleep through the rooster cries P.S. you might need to move but see if the baby can sleep with them first I LUV ANIMALS INCLUDING PIGS!
- yes he/she should be able to sleep through it. It is true most babies will sleep through anything, especially of tired enough he/she will just crash...and congratulations
- Yes, most of them sleep through anything. Your baby will hear the roosters while inside your belly, so she/he would have gotten used to hearing them. G'dluck.
- more than likely the baby will sleep, I used to Vaccuum around my baby and she never woke up. But if your baby can't sleep with all the Roosters Crowing, Try some other noise like maybe a sound machine or a fan. Good Luck and Congrats!!
- If you start out with the baby going about your day and not tip toeing around, the baby will be fine with the roosters. If you tip toe around and expect everyone to be totally quiet while the baby sleeps, no, it won't adjust to the noise. I'm mom to 3 and I can tell you, my three could sleep through the worst storms, the loudest sirens and any other noise. I ran the sweeper while they were sleeping as babies, I did laundry, I watched tv, I talked in normal tones. They grew use to the noise. The baby will be fine.
