When can baby sleep with pillow and blanket?
When is it considered safe to put your child to sleep with a pillow and blanket? I have a 10 month old baby and I never have put anything in his crib... I was just curious as to when most start Thanks everyone!

- I didn't give my daughter a pillow until she went into her toddler bed. and it was the thinnest pillow I could find. She still sleeps with it. My son is 4 months old and sleeps with a blanket, has since he was born.
- my son is 14 months and still no pillow unless it's a short nap and i am right there- i dont usually sleep with a pillow though either
- I think he's old enough now. I can't remember when I started with my son, I think it was around that age.
- When a baby can seat up alone, roll on its back and front but I never gave my children a pillow until they were 2 years old
- I would wait until after a year. My son will be a year next month. The pediatrician said nothing like a pillow or blanket until after one year and still to procede with caution.
- According to the baby books and doctor's advice, babies should not sleep with pillows, crib bumpers, bedside rails, or any loose articles of fabric (pillow-cases, blankets, crib sheets, oversized clothing) until at least 2 years of age. Even then, using pillows is not recommended until the age of 5 or older because a baby or toddler can roll over and suffocate his or herself. Hope this helps!
- I believe it is "supposed" to be once they are out of the crib, however my son loves his green blanket since he was born.
- when they go into a toddler bed. No pillows or blankets in a crib
- when he/she is in a toddler bed!
