- well i was going to say give her cereal and fruit by spoon not in the bottle around 5 or 6pm then he/she willl sleep thought the night or give the baby food. gerber/beechnut stage 2
- i would feed it milk and buy one of those light things that sing and it makes the whole room light up but buy the one for night time it's not that bright and it works!!!!!!!
- wear her dyper like pampers
- You can't MAKE a baby sleep through the night. It's something they will do when they are good and ready to. This may be at two months, five months, eight months, etc. Putting cereal into their bottles isn't guaranteed to make them sleep longer. It can also be a choking hazard and really isn't recommended by most pediatricians(unless for reflux). Be patient with your little one.
- Well, first of all, if you are still putting cereal in her bottle, stop. It's dangerous and, as you've discovered, it makes no difference in her sleep patterns. (If you truly believe she is ready for/needs solids, feed them with a spoon, from a bowl. If she can't eat that way, she isn't ready for solids.) Second -- try and be patient. It's normal for a 5 month old baby to need to eat at night. If she's starting to occassionally sleep through, she will probably begin to do so more often over the next few weeks/months. And eventually, like all babies she WILL STTN.
- First off, you can't "make" your baby do anything, especially sleep throughout the night. I have a 14 month old son and, although he does sleep throughout most nights, there are still nights that he wakes in the middle of the night. Try giving your baby a nice warm bath, right before her last bottle of the night. Use lavender scented shampoo and body wash (I found Huggies brand worked the best for my son) and then after her bath rub her down with the Huggies brand lavender scented lotion. Keep it quiet and dim while giving her her last bottle and get her calm and relaxed. I'm not saying she will sleep throughout the night, but she'll be more calm and relaxed that it might help. Good luck. I hope you get a lot of help!
- go read books on caring for your infant. Be very careful to be patient and loving to her, because these are her formative years.
